Lil Cowgirl
More Goofiness
Living with a 7 year old has some benefits. She's my daily chuckle. She likes to get into my cycling clothes. The funniest is when she puts a skinsuit on but I don't have a pic of that yet. She added a little spice by also going into her dad's underwear drawer.

She also likes to goof around in the tub. Nothing like a Lil Bratz Foaming Body Wash facial!

Faux 'Hawk
My Pumpkins
I like to eat roasted pumpkin seeds so I will usually carve a few pumpkins, just for the seeds. Went a little overboard this year but I made trinity clean them out so that helped. Lots of seeds! Chris liked the vampire pumpkin best. It took a while but thank goodness for battery operated pumpkin carving knives!

Halloween 2007
A little more timely than last year with the halloween pics. it was a fun night with a huge candy haul, mostly due to the fistfuls they gave out at the candy factory a few blocks away. anyone who knows me knows i don't have a sweet tooth...i have sweet teeth. i know where the candy is!!
Trinity normally wears a uniform to school so when they have a theme day (orange and black for halloween), she likes to go all out. Here's an example of how to turn a plain $4 wal-mart t-shirt into cool halloween wear! this is trinity's own creation. That's her own designs of felt on the front and a skeleton sticker glued on the back. Notice Jade sitting in the glider rocker behind her.

What a motley crew, all in search of candy.

Trinity was a witch, with a big nose.

3 months and counting
Wow, time is flying, Jade is already 14 weeks old. She is a very smiley girl. she is starting to sleep through the night which is really great news for my cycling. A few weeks back I did a 100km on saturday then I was completely wasted on sunday, dragging my butt around in misery (for me and those with me!!). I just wasn't getting enough sleep to do that kind of riding. oh well, it can only get better.
Below is a picture of the girls, such a happy pair. Jade loves to laugh at trinity and trinity loves to make her laugh with her goofiness. And Janie in Altoona, if you're reading this, I put this photo in the 'Me and My Big Sister Frame' you sent. It looks great, thanks!

Girl Smiley!

Trinity displaying her goofiness, she cracks me up.

Not too many tales from the big ring lately but they'll come soon. I have been able to get out riding and it feels great. Last saturday I did a ride with a bunch (including Chris) for 96km. We averaged over 30km/hr. We've been having stellar weather lately too which has really helped. My heart rate still goes higher than Chris' on the hills but give me two weeks and his will be back to being higher than mine. I always said I'd get him back after I popped the kid and my time is coming!
Speaking of the kid, she is doing well and so cute. She likes to smile and it just melts my heart, even at 2:30 in the morning...Below she is demonstrating her smile. The last one she is kicking, like she's ridng a bike. It's pretty funny but she gets so excited sometimes when you talk to her she can't stop kicking. I'll have to get some video of that. She makes her eyes really big sometimes too and that's what she's doing in the middle picture.

Of course, the post cannot be complete without a goofy picture of Trinity. Thanks to Candice, Trinity makes faces (or pretends to pick her nose) in any photo I take of her. Here, she decided to stuff a pool noodle down her PJ pants...where do they get these ideas??? anyway, it was pretty entertaining watching her walk and try to stand up from sitting (should have got video of that!!). She looked like a cowboy who had been riding a horse too long.

Hell on Wheels
I actually stole the title of this post from a t-shirt that was given to Jade from Candice. I should ask Candice if they make a larger size for 7 yr olds cause Trinity has earned it. Look at her in action...

not bad considering where she started...

pretty soon she'll be putting the hurt on her old mom, scary.

Life is Good
Well, things are settling down here. I'm starting to ride again and it feels great! Although, the first few rides i was thinking I should seriously consider riding with a defibrillator (is that how you spell it?). major chest pain. Now, I am feeling much better, still not myself but better. I even feel like hammering a bit, but it's all relative.
Jade continues to grow and life is settling down. She now weighs 11lbs 1oz and she smiles a lot, as you can see in the photo below.

Horse Camp
Trinity had her 2nd week of day camp at TEAD (the equestrian association for the disabled)last week. They have an integrated summer camp with disabled and able-bodied kids. It's a great camp and she loved it. She wants to do this camp 'every week of the summer"! She rode 'Marengo' both weeks. He is the biggest horse in the barn and also the oldest (26yrs). He's a gentle giant and she looks so small up there. I know some of the photos are blurry but it was difficult to get good shots in the arena and without the flash. Fun stuff for Trinity!!

Bad Pictures
Okay, so I promised back in the fall I would post some pics of my early cycling career. They are embarassing to say the least but I don't care, whatever. I used to be a cross country skier (first sport) so in the picture below you can see me with my Fischer skis sweatshirt on. Gawd, I was a deeb. I also didn't like tight fitting jerseys (still don't like 'em too tight) so used to like wearing a free flowing t-shirt when I rode. I was such a FRED. And where is the helmet??? Also, check out the bike, my first, mystery metal (made in mexico) Benotto!! I love the socks, I'm sure that's where Lance got his inspiration for the "halfway up the calves socks that look like crap" Nice shoes too huh, really effective, hey they're Nikes!! Now I know lance got the sock idea from me!! How cool was I??

The next picture you'll see I've progressed to wearing a jersey, although it's a really ugly one. C'mon, it was the 80's for crying out loud, at least it was more aero than the t-shirt and it had pockets!! It was the Collingwood Cycling Club jersey. I think it goes GREAT with the bug eye glasses!! At least I have a helmet on, even if it is pathetic. I think I may finally have clipless pedals here too, they were the first LOOK pedals. I probably have cycling shoes finally too, my first pair, Adidas - Eddy Merckx. I'm really dating myself.

I think I'm pretty brave for posting these pictures, but they are pretty funny.
I want to send out some good luck to the Colavita/Sutter Home p/b Cooking Light women who are racing in the southeast crits and Gila this week/weekend. Got get 'em!
